Is a birthday special?

Today I became 20 years old. I’ve been looking forward to my birthday for a while. Just needed something special in my weekly schedule. But now it’s my birthday, it’s hardly any different from any other Sunday. This makes me wonder, what is it that makes a birthday special? Getting to a question I’d like to ask everyone. Is a birthday special for you guys? And if so, what makes it special for you?
